The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, there is a possibility of engine machining debris contamination within the engine. This could lead to potential engine knocking, rough running and/or stalling during operation causing a loss of motive power.

The hazard

A loss of motive power or engine stalling whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

The remedy
