Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

Due to a manufacturing issue, the undercarriage of the affected trailers may experience stress, which could lead to the metal chassis cracking. As a result, components of the trailer’s metal chassis may detach from the tow vehicle.

The hazard

If components of the trailer’s metal chassis detach from the tow vehicle, it may increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants, bystanders, or other road users.

The remedy

Owners of affected trailers will be contacted in writing with instructions to perform a visual inspection. They will then be asked to schedule an appointment for a professional inspection, during which the trailer will be either repaired or replaced free of charge.
