The defect

The adjusting rod used to operate the vehicle jack is of incorrect specification and may not function as intended.

The hazard

There is no safety hazard and the defect will not affect the performance of the vehicle.Vehicles may not be compliant with the Australian Standard AS 2693-2007 and the jack cannot be used for wheel removal.

The remedy
