The defect

Due to a software issue, the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) function may not operate as intended. This may cause the vehicle to exceed the maximum speed limit of 100 km per hour if the driver intervenes when the cruise control is active.

The hazard

If the ACC is not operating as intended it may increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles can contact their nearest authorised SITRAK Australia dealership to have the work carried out, free of charge.
