Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

Due to a software issue in the transmission control module, if the brake pedal is firmly depressed to stop the vehicle the clutch for the engine and electric motor may remain disengaged during deceleration. If this occurs, power from the engine or electric motor may not be transmitted when the accelerator pedal is depressed.

The hazard

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Mazda Australia requesting that they schedule an appointment at their preferred Mazda dealer to update the calibration for the transmission control module, free of charge.
