The defect
The fuel delivery hose may have been installed incorrectly and come into contact with the engine oil level gauge bracket resulting in premature wear. Fuel may leak from a damaged hose and, in the presence of an external ignition source, result in a vehicle fire.

A vehicle fire could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users or bystanders and/or damage to property.
The remedy
Owners will be contacted in writing by Isuzu UTE Australia asking them to schedule an appointment to have the fuel hose inspected and replaced, free of charge.
