The defect

Due to a software issue, the vehicle may not have the Autonomous Emergency Brake (AEB) sound alarm activated.

Vehicles are not compliant with Australian Design Rule 98/01 – Advanced Emergency Braking for Passenger Vehicles and Light Goods Vehicles.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest Chery dealership to have their AEB software updated, free of charge.
