The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, certain low ATM trailer drawbars may not comply with ADR requirements for structural strength. As a result, it could lead to a loss of trailer control and/or detachment from the tow vehicle whilst being towed.

The hazard

A loss of trailer control and/or detachment from the tow vehicle whilst being towed will increase the risk of an accident and serious injury or death to the vehicle occupants and other road users.Trailers are not compliant with ADR 62/00 - Mechanical Connections Between Vehicles.

The remedy

Hari Kessner is requesting owners to stop using the trailer for heavy loads and to contact Hari Kessner Pty Ltd immediately to schedule a free inspection and modification, free of charge.
