The defect

Due to manufacturing defect, the turn signal indicator lamps may not operate as intended when the lever on the combination switch is activated. In addition, the instrument cluster indicator lamps may not illuminate.

The hazard

If the turn signal indicators do not operate as intended, other road users may be unable to identify if the vehicle is turning. This could increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to the vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles should contact their nearest authorised Daimler Truck dealership to book an appointment to have the rectification carried out as soon as possible, free of charge.
