Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

Due to a software issue, the second and third-row electric seat-folding mechanism may fail to detect an occupant or object and may not stop the folding function when activated.

The hazard

A folding seat that cannot detect an occupant increases the risk of causing serious injury or death to any occupant in or around the folding seat during activation of walk-in and power-folding seat features of the vehicle.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted in writing by Hyundai Motor Company Australia asking them to either schedule an appointment with an Authorised Hyundai Dealer as soon as possible to have the software update applied, or if they are registered for BLUELINK to apply the software update over the air, free of charge.
