Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

Due to improper assembly, the front brake line may have been incorrectly routed. As a result, it may cause restriction of the handlebar and/or excessive noise when turning. This could lead to a loss of vehicle control whilst riding. Additionally, the brake line could become damaged overtime. If this occurs it could lead to a brake fluid leak resulting in reduced braking performance.

The hazard

A loss of vehicle control whilst riding and/or a reduction in braking performance could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to the rider, pillion passenger or other road users.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Electro Moto asking them to schedule an appointment to have the brake line inspected on their motorcycle and, if necessary replaced, free of charge.
