The defect

Some vehicles equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) may not allow the driver to cancel ACC in very specific driving conditions.

The hazard

In certain circumstances there may be unexpected acceleration when using the ACC, which if not stopped by applying the brakes can cause increased risk of accident and injury to occupants of the vehicle and other road users.

The remedy
