The defect

On some Alfa Romeo Giulia MY2017-2019 and Alfa Romeo Stelvio MY2017-2019, the instrument panel shows more fuel than what is actually present in the fuel tank.

The hazard

This may result in an engine shut down as the vehicle can run out of fuel. If the vehicle is being driven at the time, this can present an accident risk to vehicle occupants and other road users.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by mail and invited to have their vehicles inspected by an authorised Alfa Romeo dealership.
