The defect
Some Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles may allow fuel leakage from the fuel tank during low speed collisions.

The hazard
Leaking fuel in the presence of an ignition source may result in an underbody fire. This defect poses a hazard to the driver and occupants of the vehicle, in addition to other road users.
The remedy
Chrysler Jeep will notify vehicle owners by letter. Owners should present their vehicle to authorised Chrysler Jeep dealerships for inspection.
