The defect

There is a risk that the ignition switch may move out of the run position, resulting in a partial loss of electrical power and turning off the engine which can disable the power steering, power brakes and stop the airbags from inflating during a crash.

The hazard

May cause injury to driver and/or other road users by potentially causing people to lose control of their vehicles and may cause serious injuries or death.

The remedy

FCA Australia will notify vehicle owners who can take their vehicle to a Fiat Professional dealership whereby the vehicle will be repaired.
