The defect

The seat belt tongue may bind in the seat belt buckle. Consequently, when the seat belt release button is pressed, the belt may not release immediately.

The hazard

In the event of an accident, occupants may not be able to release the seat belt immediately and injury may occur.

The remedy

A letter will be sent to owners of affected vehicles.
