The defect

Some Metro and Delta Bus ITAL vehicles may have the rear brake calipers incorrectly fitted to the wrong side of the axle (left caliper on the right hand side and right caliper on the left hand side).

The hazard

The caliper slide may impact the suspension arm before the brake pads are completely worn out and before the pad sensor triggers a dash warning light, which may increase the risk of an accident and/or occupant injury.

The remedy

All affected owners should take their vehicle to their nearest authorised IVECO dealership where the rear brake calipers will be inspected and rectified. For further information, please contact IVECO Trucks Australia on 1800 4 IVECO (48326).
