The defect

In some MY2019 Jeep Cherokee KL vehicles there may be a loss of communication between an acceleration sensor and the occupant restraint controller (ORC).

The hazard

The airbag system may not function as required during a crash, increasing the risk of injury of vehicle occupants.

The remedy
