The defect

The piston component material made of PPS (polyphenylene sulphide) located in handbrake master cylinder (front brake), may crack.

The hazard

Should the front brake master cylinder piston fail the consequence is a loss of front braking ability. A failure of the front brake would pose an accident hazard

The remedy

Consumers will be contacted by direct mail notifying them of the recall. Consumers are advised to contact an authorised KTM dealer to arrange an appointment for the affected part to be replaced with an updated version free of charge.Authorised dealers can be located at http://www.ktm.com/au/dealer/
