The defect

Due to insufficient weld strength the clutch master cylinder may break whilst it is operating. In this case the fluid will leak and the clutch release function will cease to operate, preventing normal transmission gear changes.

The hazard

Loss of ability to change gears or unexpected gear engagement whilst driving may pose a hazard to the driver and surrounding motorists.

The remedy

Owners are requested to contact the nearest Mitsubishi authorised Evolution specialist Dealer at their earliest convenience to make an appointment to have the vehicle rectified.
