The defect

Some issue were identified in the 5M/T Selector Lever Bell Crank assembly. This may result in disengagement of the Select Lever Pin when shifting to the Reverse or 5th gear positions.

The hazard

The gear lever may feel loose when shifting to the Reverse or 5th gear position and in the worst case gear shifting may be impossible. In the worst case scenario this may pose a hazard to the driver or other road users.

The remedy

Letter are being sent to affected consumers.The remedy is replacement 5M/T selector lever bell crank assembly.
