The defect

The fastening nut from the drive pulley on the CVT has been insufficiently tightened due to an improper tightening method and incorrect tightening torque.During assembly, soldering flux may have been left on the contact terminals of the ignition switch base.

The hazard

If continued to be ridden the nut may become loose and cause abnormal noise or cause the machine not to run.If the machine is continued to be ridden the flux could soften and could cause the machine to stop running.

The remedy

Owners should contact their nearest Suzuki dealer for an inspection and to replace with counter measure parts as required.
