The defect

Due to an incorrect setting on the external remote control, the remote brake request feature does not engage the parking brake under certain speed conditions (low speed).

The hazard

If the parking brake does not engage, this could result in unintended vehicle movement. This may increase the risk of an accident, which may result in an injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users and bystanders.

The remedy
