The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the lock stops on the 24V battery tray frame are missing. As a result, the tray may detach and fall when pulled out during maintenance work.

The hazard

If the tray becomes detached and falls when pulled out during maintenance, it may cause serious injury to a person near or underneath the vehicle.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Volvo group requesting to schedule an appointment to have the work carried out free of charge.
