The defect

A component within the brake assembly may not meet manufacturing specifications. . If the component is not manufactured correctly the brake calliper will not operate correctly, the result of this would be a reduction in expected braking performance and handling of the vehicle.

A loss of braking performance may increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants.
