The defect

The rear cabin window polycarbonate panel may have poor adhesion. As a result, it may detach from the vehicle under certain driving conditions.

The hazard

If the rear window detaches from the vehicle whilst driving, there is an increase risk of injury or death to road users and bystanders.

The remedy

McLaren will contact affected owners in writing requesting they make an appointment with their preferred authorised McLaren Dealer to have the rectification work carried out, free of charge.Drivers are advised to refrain from: (i) driving the vehicle above highway speeds with windows open; and (ii) driving on racetracks.
