The hazard

If the lock nut is not present and extinguisher activated, the strike button assembly can eject under pressure and increase the risk of injury to the user, in addition to this scenario; propellant and powder may leak from the exposed opening leading to the fire extinguisher not operating correctly. In the event of a fire this will increase the risk of injury and/or death to the user.

The remedy

The owner can contact their dealer to make an appointment to have the work carried out at no charge.
