The defect

It is possible that chafing to the vehicle's electrical wiring harness may occur in the vicinity of the Base Module. Should the wiring harness be damaged as a result, electrical malfunctions might include failures in the lighting, Airbag and signalling systems, or electrical short circuits on non-fused wiring.
