The defect

In vehicles with rear air conditioning, the lens of the interior light located in the air duct may deform during continuous operation due to an elevated temperature resulting from the 18W globe combined with high ambient temperatures. In the presence of moisture a short circuit of the electrical contacts may occur, and in an extreme case, could lead to a cable fire.
