The defect

Investigations have shown that the operating reliability of the drivers side SAM could diminish due to the ingress of moisture caused by incorrect storage. In isolated cases this could lead to various electrical malfunctions affecting such items as front illumination equipment and turn signals, windshield wipers, steering column adjustment and illumination of the centre console.
