The defect

There have been instances where the bellows brackets have fractured. The bellows brackets fracture at the upper torque rod attachment. This is because the suspension brackets side wall is approx. 10 mm narrower than specified dimension.

The hazard

If the bracket was to completely fail it can intrude into the wheel well and the impact can injure passengers inside the bus.

The remedy

It is important that you contact your Scania Dealer /Scania Branch to make an appointment to have the above campaign carried out. This will allow them to order parts in advance that are required for your vehicle. All work carried out (parts and labour) related to this recall will be at no cost to you.We appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.
