The defect

Due to a programming error, the transmission control module may not detect the position of the gear shift valve if stuck in the wrong position.

The hazard

If the defect occurs, the driver may not be able to shift gear, posing a potential traffic hazard.

The remedy

Chrysler Australia Pty Ltd will write to owners of all affected vehicles. Alternatively, consumers may contact their nearest authorised Chrysler Jeep Dodge distributor/dealership for further information.
