The defect

The internal frame of the dash-board may not have been manufactured correctly. In the event of an accident this may restrict the deployment of the passenger-side airbag.

The hazard

If the event of an accident, the air bag may deploy abnormally, increasing the risk of injury to the occupant.

The remedy

A letter will be sent to affected owners.The dash-board will be inspected and replaced if required. The repair will be completed free of charge. A full list of authorised Mercedes-Benz dealerships can be found at www.mercedes-benz.com.au.
