Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

On vehicles fitted with carbon ceramic brake discs, the stainless steel screws fixing the rotor to the metal bell may fail due to corrosion if the vehicle has been used in salty environments.

The hazard

If one screw fails, the brake will continue to be 100% effective. However, if the affected disc were to lose 8 of the 10 screws, there would be a loss of braking at the rear wheel. This may lead to a small increase in stopping distance, which could cause an accident.

The remedy

When sufficient screws are available of a material not susceptible to stress corrosion cracking, Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. will notify all owners of affected vehicles and will instruct them to arrange for an appointment with an authorized Lamborghini dealer. Dealers will replace the screws on affected vehicles free of charge.
