The defect

The fuel tank band fixing bolts may not be tightened to the correct torque specification.

The hazard

The fixing bolts may become loose during normal operation of the vehicle. The fuel tank may become detached and drop down which could result in the spillage of fuel.

The remedy

Isuzu UTE Australia Pty Ltd is contacting all known owners of affected vehicles. Consumers should contact their nearest Isuzu UTE Dealer to arrange for inspection and repair consisting of tightening of the fuel tank band fixing bolts to the correct torque setting.
