The defect
The front passenger airbag in affected vehicles may not meet specifications. In the event of an accident triggering a front passenger airbag, it may not deploy as designed. As a result, the restraint effect of the front passenger airbag could not be guaranteed.

The remedy
Letters will be sent to owners of affected vehicles, requesting they make contact with their Mercedes-Benz dealer to have the part replaced.
