The defect

Moisture may enter the air bag module because of a misalignment of the air conditioning system drain tube.

The hazard

Moisture in the air bag module may cause the air bags/s to deploy unexpectedly, potentially causing an accident or injuring passengers.

The remedy

This defect is the subject of an existing product campaign where all affected customers were notified. All remaining vehicle owners who have not had the recall conducted will be contacted by Iveco Trucks Australia and its dealers advising them of this recall. All affected customers should take their vehicle to their nearest authorised Iveco dealership where the recall will be conducted. A letter will also be sent by registered post to all owners of affected vehicles. If you are not contacted but you think your vehicle is affected then please contact Iveco Trucks Australia on 1800 4 Iveco.
