The defect
The front wheel well to body panels may not have been sealed according to manufacturing specifications. Moisture may enter the interior of the body via the front wheel wells and cause damage to control units and electrical components in the area. If this occurs the instrument cluster may not display information as intended, or the engine may stall during vehicle operation and may not be possible to be restarted.
The hazard
A loss of power while driving increases the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.
