The defect
Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel delivery unit inside the fuel tank may break. If this occurs it could result in the broken pieces damaging the fuel delivery system. This may cause a sudden loss of motive power.Note: This issue may cause the emission control system warning lamp to light up.

The hazard
If the vehicle loses motive power, it may lead to the risk of a crash resulting in serious injury or death to occupants or other road users.
The remedy
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Audi Australia Pty Ltd and are asked to arrange with their nearest authorised Audi dealership to have the work carried out free of charge.
