The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, certain vehicles may develop a fracture to the mounting bracket at the base of the seat. As a result, the seat base may shift within the seat suspension frame.

The hazard

If the vehicle is involved in an accident, this defect may result in the driver being seriously injured.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Daimler Truck to have their vehicle rectified, free of charge.
