The defect

Due to a manufacturing issue, the joint between the coolant pipe and the temperature sensor may not be sealed adequately. This could cause a coolant leak resulting in a vehicle fire.

The hazard

A vehicle fire increases the risk of an accident, serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles should contact their preferred authorised McLaren Dealer to make an appointment to have work carried out free of charge.This remedy will be carried out at no charge to the customer.
