The defect
Due to operation of the seat back rest, the driver and passenger side air bag wiring harnesses may become damaged over time caused by seat adjustment. This could impair the deployment of the side airbag installed in the seats.
The hazard
In the event of an accident, an airbag not deploying as intended could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.
