The defect

In the affected models, due to variations in wiring harness routing, there is a possibility that the wiring harness insulation may wear due to contact with the engine and chassis.

The hazard

In the worst-case scenario, the wiring could short circuit, resulting in electrical damage and potential fire. This may lead to serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users, and/or damage to property.

The remedy

Vehicle owners should contact their local Hino dealer to arrange an appointment to have the repair undertaken, free of charge.
