The defect

The driver’s seat belt safety cap may have been incorrectly installed and could become loose. As a result, the seat belt may not operate as intended.

The hazard

If the seat belt does not operate as intended, the occupant may not receive the full protection of the seatbelt system. This could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.

The remedy

Owners of the affected vehicle will be contacted by the dealer to arrange an appointment to have the work carried out, free of charge.
