The defect

The affected model motorcycles may experience a non-functioning stop light and/or cause brake fluid to leak through the rear stop light switch, affecting rear brake performance.

The defects may result in a crash, which could cause injury or death to the rider.

The remedy

Harley-Davidson will write to owners of affected vehicles.Owners are advised to contact their authorised Harley-Davidson dealer who will determine whether the motorcycle is affected by this recall and, if affected, will replace the rear brake light switch at no charge to the customer.
