The defect

The license plate bracket assembly may become loose from the rear fender. If this occurs, the license plate may come in contact with the rear tyre and damage the rear brake line.

If the rear brake line is damaged, this may reduce rear brake performance, which could result in serious injuries or fatalities.

The remedy

A letter is being sent to affected owners. For further information, owners are advised to contact their authorised Harley-Davidson dealer.
