The defect
The rear suspension shock absorbers on affected vehicles may break at one of the shock absorber attachment points.

The hazard
A partially detached rear suspension shock absorber could cause damage to other rear chassis or suspension components. This can cause an accident without warning and poses a safety hazard to the driver and other road users.
The remedy
Chrysler Jeep will notify affected vehicle owners. Vehicles will be inspected at a Jeep dealership and, if required, the shock absorber will be replaced.
