The defect

The seat(s) on the specified models may have been manufactured with a seat fastener that was not tightened to the proper torque specification.

The hazard

A loose seat fastener could increase the risk of injury to seat occupants during a crash.

The remedy

FCA Australia will notify vehicle owners who can take their vehicle to an authorised Jeep dealer. The dealer will inspect the seat fastener torque. If the problem is found to be present, it will be rectified at no cost to the customer. For further information, you can contact FCA Australia Customer call centre on 1300 133 079.
