Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

Due to an issue with the car's software, the red brake wear warning light is not illuminated continuously when the brake pads are worn out. Only a yellow warning message is shown in the multi-functional display, which can be confirmed and then suppressed until the car is next started.

The remedy

Affected owners will be contacted by mail or can contact their nearest Porsche dealer to arrange an inspection and repair of the vehicle. The car will be reprogrammed with updated software.Affected owners can find their nearest Porsche dealer at www.porsche.com/australia/dealersearch/
