The defect

The air conditioning drainage hose, that is used to transfer condensation water generated by the air conditioning unit out of the vehicle, may not have been properly attached.

The hazard

This might result in moisture inside the occupant compartment, which could lead to air conditioning functionality issues. In a worst case scenario, if the leakage has not been detected over a period of time, this condition could affect other electrical systems, posing a safety risk to the vehicle occupants.

The remedy

Affected owners should contact their nearest Volvo dealer to arrange an inspection and repair of the vehicle.
